No sign-up, no login. Install it and listen.
How to update
Tap the button and download the file.
Open it — Android will ask to allow installs "from this source" if you haven't already. Tap Settings and turn it on.
Go back and tap Install — it installs over the current version.
Open the app and tap the 🔋 at the top right: a green bar appears and refreshes every 3 seconds. Tap 🔋 again to close it.
The green bar is a temporary diagnostic: it shows what your phone's system replies, so we can find out why the indicator gets stuck.
✅ Installs over the current version — nothing is deleted. It uses the same signing key as the version you have now. If it says "conflict with existing package", uninstall the old one once and try again.
⚠️ If it won't open after downloading: don't tap "Open" inside the browser — nothing happens that way. Go to Files → Downloads, find prism-radio-4.14.apk and tap the file itself → Install. If it asks for "install from this source" permission, grant it.
Release notes
What was fixed in 4.10
The message inside the app showed the wrong save path: it said "private app folder · not visible in Files" — which was untrue, since 4.9 saves also to public Music.
Now it tells the truth: Saved: <filename> → Music/Prism Radio (visible in Files).
And it never promises a public save when the copy did not happen (older Android or a failure): in that case it says plainly "not visible in Files".
What was fixed in 4.9
Recording works: the app now sends a User-Agent and follows the stations' redirects itself. The station Dance Wave! replied "302 + 143 bytes HTML", and the old recorder wrote that text into the .mp3 and stopped immediately.
It survives interruptions: if the station drops the connection, it reconnects and keeps writing to the same file.
Visible save: on Stop, the file is copied to Music → Prism Radio (MediaStore), so it shows up in Files.
Tested on a real device: 835 KB in 38.8 seconds, 0 reconnects — and the file appeared in Music → Prism Radio.
What's new in stable 4.7
Stable release: fixed the recording crash on phones — the app runs normally again.
"Built by Growth Insider" now sits inside the bottom bar, centred, and shows on every tab (Search / Countries / Top / Favourites / Recent).
Station recording works on the computer too (browser): tap ● Record, then ■ Stop — the file downloads to your Downloads (▶ Save button).
If a station doesn't allow recording, you get a clear message: "Recording not allowed by this station" — no workaround.
